My Story
Thomas Heckman is the founder and principal of Heckman Engineering. A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, Thomas spent over a decade honing his expertise within premier commercial and industrial engineering design and construction firms.
His career is built on a foundation of rigorous technical design and extensive on-site experience, providing him with a "boots-on-the-ground" perspective that he carries into his engineering and management styles today. After earning his Professional Engineering (PE) licensure and moving into project and engineering management, Thomas founded Heckman Engineering in 2020. He now provides direct, principal-led structural services to the industrial and commercial sectors, leveraging a decade of high-level industry experience to deliver precise, field-tested solutions.
